I was excited to see the City of Leominster’s schedule of events marking the 250th anniversary of Johnny Appleseed’s birth. I decided to explore a few local Appleseed sites.

Big Apple Turns 5
I stopped to check out the gift shop at the Johnny Appleseed Visitor Center on Route 2 westbound in Lancaster. I noticed the sign says the Big Apple was unveiled five years ago this July.
